Level Control

CIRCOR Power & Process has extensive level control experience, and provides a comprehensive portfolio of expertly engineered valves and associated product solutions for customers of all sizes and types.

Level control in the power and process industries is focused primarily on the science of controlling the specific level of steam, water and / or gas, as opposed to dry powders and chemical feedstocks. There are three primary methods of attaining level control: adjustable and non-adjustable on/off level control, and modulating level control – all of which require different media for each individual application.

Level controllers are instruments which monitor liquid levels in vessels, and send out either pneumatic (typically 6 – 15 psig) or electric (e.g. 4 – 20mA) signals to either the main control system, a local control system, or directly to an automated control valve.
